What Dance Sage does today
- Records your dancing with the front or rear camera, or imports a video you already have.
- Detects your pose and draws a skeleton over the movement, live and on playback.
- Handles one dancer in styling mode, or two dancers in partner mode.
- Detects the beat and shows the tempo in BPM.
- Keeps your recordings in a library on the device.
- Exports and shares your dancing, with or without the skeleton drawn in.
- Finds Latin dance events in a city.
Common questions
Where are my recordings saved?
On your iPhone, inside the app. They are not uploaded anywhere. To keep a recording outside Dance Sage, export it and save it to Photos or send it wherever you like.
Why is my exported video silent?
Silent is the default, because music recorded at a venue usually cannot be republished. Choose the "With Original Audio" option if you want the sound and have the rights to use it, or add licensed music in TikTok or Instagram after you export.
What is the difference between the export options?
"Skeleton + Video" keeps you visible with the skeleton tracking your movement. "Skeleton Only" shows the skeleton on a plain background, with nobody identifiable, which is the better choice when you have recorded with a partner.
The skeleton looks wrong or jumps around.
Pose detection needs to see you. It works best with your whole body in frame, reasonable light, and a background that is not too busy. Partner mode needs both dancers visible.
No events came back for my city.
Event search only returns listings it can find evidence for on a specific date, and it deliberately leaves out anything it cannot verify. An empty result usually means nothing reliable was published for that day rather than that nothing is happening. Try a nearby larger city or a different date.
How do I delete everything?
Swipe to delete individual recordings in My Recordings, or delete the app to remove all recordings at once. There is no account, so there is nothing left behind on our side.

Dance Sage is being built with dancers rather than at them. If there is something you want it to do, say so, and tell us how you dance. It genuinely shapes what gets built next.
